Logging in Russia. In March 2021, the production of certain types of logging products amounted to 16.4 million cubic meters.
Production structure: softwood timber - 9.9 million tons, hardwood timber (except tropical species) - 5.1 million tons.
Despite the status of the great gas power of Russia, even in the gas-bearing regions of the country, people in villages live without gas, as in cave times. Dwellings are heated with fuel wood, the volume of its harvesting was 1.4 million tons.
Compared to March 2020, the volume of softwood harvesting increased by 5.7%. Deciduous trees were cut with an increase of 10.1%. Fuel wood is the leader in dynamics - 11.3%. Deadwood does not count. @agrorisk
