SEA FISH PRODUCTION DECREASED BY 14%

Fish and other fishery products in Russia. In April 2021, the production of fish and other fishery products totaled 95.8 against 102.9 thousand tons in March.

The catch of sea fish in April decreased by 14% and amounted to against March: live - 12.2 against 14.1 thousand tons, fresh or chilled - 73.3 against 82.9 thousand tons, unfrozen crustaceans - 3.8 against 2 , 5 thousand tons, freshwater fish: live - 1.3 against 0.5 thousand tons, fresh or chilled - 5.2 against 2.9 thousand tons.

In dynamics, by April 2020, the production of fish resources increased: for sea fish by 38%, for freshwater fish - by 0.2%. The crustacean harvest continued to grow 42.7% against 37.5%.

Paired January-April 2021/2020 the production of crustaceans increased by + 42.6%, for sea fish the decline decreased from -17.35% to -7.4%, for freshwater fish - the dynamics is negative at the level -0.4%. @agrorisk
