AFTER THE AFTERSHOCK, BANKS SOLD 33% MORE LOANS




Issuing loans to agribusiness in Russia. In January-April 2022, banks issued loans to agricultural producers for 424.8 billion rubles. Last year, during the same period, the agricultural enterprise got a bank loan for a large amount – 471.5 billion rubles.


The reduction in the consumption of bank loans by agricultural enterprises for the specified period amounted to 46.7 billion rubles. or almost 10%.


After a 25% (YoY) drop in sales of loans to the agro-industrial complex in the first quarter of 2022, banks and agribusiness emerged from the aftershock and in April 2022 gained loans worth 161.5 billion rubles. or 33% more than in April 2021. However, 10% to last year's level (Jan.-Apr. y/y) still did not pull out @agrorisk
