THE FOOD MARKET CONTINUES TO GROW. 1.4 TRILLN RUBLES ARE EATED BY THE RUSSIANS IN APRIL

Retail sales. In the structure of retail trade turnover in April 2021, 47.1% was occupied by the foodstuffs sector, including beverages, and tobacco products. The non-food sector accounted for 52.9%. In April 2020, the sectors were distributed 57.3% and 42.7%, respectively).

In general, in January-April 2021, residents of the country ate 5.211 trillion rubles, excluding catering and private household plots. In comparison with the period in 2020, the increase amounted to 377 billion rubles.

In April, the store food market accelerated its growth and was able to get into the wallets of citizens in the amount of 1,452.4 billion rubles. (1.1 billion rubles by March 2021). Paired April 2021/2020 the food market exceeded last April by 222.9 billion rubles. @agrorisk
