Financial results of the food industry in Russia. In January-May 2021, the balanced financial result (profit minus loss) of food industry enterprises (excluding SMEs) in current prices amounted to 156.8 billion rubles or 33.8 billion rubles in May.

Compared to the same period in 2020, food industry profits increased by 13.9%.

In general, in January-May, food producers made a profit of 176.1 billion rubles or 47 billion rubles in May. The companies' losses for the period from the beginning of the year amounted to 19.3 billion rubles. or 3.3 billion rubles in May, the share of losses from the shaft of total profit in the industry amounted to 10.9% calculated from the beginning of the year. The share of unprofitable organizations was 27.5%.

For the period in the general section of the balanced profit in the country among organizations (amounted to 9466.2 billion rubles), food industry enterprises took a share of 1.65%. No sharp fluctuations were found. @agrorisk
