China - growth in agricultural trade

China's agricultural products maintain aggressive dynamics of foreign trade in the period January-September of this year. According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of the People's Republic of China, the volume of trade in agricultural products of the country for the period amounted to 248.51 billion US dollars. This is 10.4% more than in the same period in 2021. Exports jumped by 21.5% compared to the same period last year, while imports increased by 6.4%. In China's agricultural sector, the value added of industrial production increased by 4.2% year-on-year over this period. Consumption in rural areas of the country also accelerated: retail sales of consumer goods increased by 0.9% year-on-year over the period under review - this is 1.2% more than in the first half of 2022 - Xinhua
