CROP ASSESSMENT IN BRAZIL

The planned harvest of 2022/23 in Brazil is estimated at 312.2 million tons. This is 15% or 40.8 million tons higher than in 2021/22. With the completion of the sowing of the first harvest in December, special attention will be paid to the selection of agricultural crops and taking into account the influence of the climatic factor. The criterion is the impact on productivity. Compared with the previous estimate announced in November, when 313 million tons were forecast, new data show an adjustment in total production due to lower corn yields and a reduction in acreage under rice - The Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture
