CROP LOSS IN PAKISTAN

In Pakistan, recent floods have destroyed vast areas of agricultural land, resulting in the loss of approximately 80% of the rice crop, 88% of the sugar cane crop and 61% of cotton production in Sindh province. Total economic damage to agriculture from recent floods in Sindh province alone is estimated at 1.3 billion US dollars – Daily Times
