Grain harvest in Siberia is 8.5 less%

Harvesting of grain and leguminous crops is being completed in the Altai Territory.

About 1% of the grain area of late ripening is subject to threshing.

Grain harvest in the region exceeded 5.4 million tons, which is 0.5 million tons less

than last year (in 2021.amounted to 5.9 million tons).

The decrease in yield is not unexpected, unfavorable climatic conditions have affected. In addition, harvesting was suspended in October due to snowfall.

The acreage of agricultural crops of the Altai Territory is more than 6.5 million hectares (this is the largest area of arable land in the Russian Federation).

Altai Krai is a leader in the production of flour and cereals.
