With a total acreage of 77 million hectares in Brazil (80 million hectares in Russia), Brazilian agriculture continues the growth trend observed in recent years. The result of the work is equivalent to an increase of 3.3% or 2.49 thousand hectares compared to the harvest area of 2021/2022. Approaches to sowing crops for the first harvest are developing with some delay. According to Brazilian experts, this caution on the part of agricultural producers is natural from the point of view of the climate scenario. Weather scenarios are focused on possible heavy precipitation and low temperatures, especially in some parts of the states in the South and Southeast of the country. In addition, the risk management scenario in the agro-industrial complex includes water restrictions and low soil moisture in the Midwest and Matopib regions.
