Hepatitis A in frozen raspberries

The government of Chile launched an investigation on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 after raspberries from a Chilean company were recalled to the United States due to infection with hepatitis A. The FDA showed the presence of hepatitis A in frozen raspberries of the James Farm brand from Chile - a major exporter of raspberries, blueberries, grapes and cherries.


According to the FDA, Exportadora Copramar recalls 1,260 boxes of raspberries that were packaged in cartons under the James Farm brand and sold exclusively at the restaurant depot/jethro in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia and Delaware - Reuters
